Necklace Length & Fit Guide
Choosing the right chain length depends entirely on your personal style and preferences. Please use our visual guide to see where our standard length options sit, along with having a read through our 'things to consider' section below to help you choose. If you need a custom chain length that falls outside of our preselected options, please contact us.
Adding Charms: Please note that adding charms to a necklace pulls the necklace into a slight V-shape. This causes it to sit slightly lower than a plain chain and gives the appearance of a longer length necklace.
Body Shape and Frame: Necklaces sit differently depending on your individual build, torso length and bust size. A broader frame or fuller chest can naturally cause mid-to-long necklaces (such as our 51cm, 61cm and 76cm chains) to sit higher than shown on the model.
Neck Size: Chain lengths vary by individual neck measurements. For example, a 41cm chain may fit like a relaxed choker on one person, but sit at the collarbone on another.
Don't want to guess? Try these two foolproof tricks to make sure you get the exact length you want:
Method 1: The String Test
Take a piece of thin string or cord.
Wrap it around your neck and position it exactly where you want your new Zahli chain to sit.
Mark the spot, lay the string flat against a ruler, and note down the centimetres.
Method 2: The Existing Favourite
Find a necklace you already own that sits exactly how you like it.
Unclasp it, lay it completely flat along a measuring tape, and measure from end to end (including the clasp).
41cm: Sits high, right at the base of the neck. Perfect for tight stacking.
46cm: The classic standard. Sits beautifully at the collarbone.
51cm: Drops just below the collarbone. The ideal middle ground for holding a main charm.
61cm: Hangs mid-chest. Great for a bold, standalone statement piece.
76cm: A long, deep plunge length that reaches the mid-torso area. This size is intended for long statement styles or multi-piece layering.
